Our sushi restaurant is close to Takao kaido, and it is recommended to drop by after sightseeing around this area. It takes about 25 minutes by car both from JR Takao station and from Keio Takako Sanguchi Station. We ensure that our taste makes your trip more memorable.
Our specialty is “shari”, sushi rice. We cook shari in a traditional way by using a furnace and firewood. Other than hand-shaped sushi called Nigiri, Chirashi is also our signature. It is covered with seasonal fish and some vegetables. Thin stripes of own seasoned omelette is also one of the toppings, and its taste has not changed for over 100 years.

To bring out the natural taste of rice, we cook freshly milled rice with alkaline water by using a traditional furnace and firewood. Experience authentic flavour of rice.

You will find a big calligraphy work on the external wall when visiting our restaurant surrounded by mountains. The calligraphy represents the restaurant, and it says flourishing and fun. On top of this work by Hokaku Suzuki, there are also some works by Suiho Kuwahara who also had the honor of a chance of teaching calligraphy at Crown Prince's Palace. Calligraphy on wooden doors inside the restaurant is his works, and this is also something you do not miss to see.

Our Chirashi Sushi is one of the signature menus. Vinegared rice is covered with rotus, gourd strips, dried seaweed, thin stripes of own seasoned omelette and so on. On the top of all the ingredients, seasonal fish is served. All the toppings are home-made, and especially the taste of a little sweet omelette has not changed for over 100 years. Not few people order it a la cart for this taste.
